Performance and production process of die forging machine Sep 18, 2017

Forging is a special way of processing, that is, the die forging machine use the mold to shape the blank, so that we can get forging pieces. By this way, the forgings made are not only accurate in size, but also have little processing allowance while have higher throughput.

 

When using the die forging machine to obtain different forging process, please choose the appropriate way according to the specific requirements. Compared with other processing methods, this forging process has a higher production efficiency. It can also significantly improve the dimensional accuracy of the workpieces, and simplify the follow-up process. This processing can not only produce complex parts, but also meet the requirements of mass production.

 

After processed by this way, the forged flow lines within the forging can be distributed in accordance with the forging profile, which will largely improve the work pieces' performance and quality. However, it also has a shortcoming, that is, the mold price is expensive.

Under normal circumstances, after selecting the forging die, we also need to match it with a suitable forging machine. Forging die is mainly composed of two modules from top to bottom, up and down a half. It can avoid the dislocation of the upper and lower modules in operation, and there is no need to worry about the shape deformation of the metal blank.

 

In short, the main production process of die forging machine can be divided into three links: blank, pre-forging and final forging.  The mold chamber of die forging often needs to be determined by the size and shape of the forging. And the die forging is mainly composed of open die forging and closed die forging.
